40th anniversary Rally at Riddells
Creek.
Commemorating the 40 years since the intro of
the 900...for which we, the Macedon
Ranges Ulysses Group has a connection (sort of), as it was almost
outside Judith Gilles home (former Member of our Group), that the final
crash scene was filmed in the first Mad
Max.
This rally will feature replica machines from
both Mad Max and Stone not to mention many other
bikes including a 1969 Triumph Trident if Dickie can get it finished in
time...also if any one has ANY machine from the 70's or period Kwackas then you's be welcome
for the whole rally (if interested), or come along just on the
Saturday...have it on good authority that the organisers are going to a bit
of trouble for this one. Details.

Memorial Ride for Luke Wilson: 10:30 for 10:45 departure from Sunbury Maccas, Ride
Leader John Eacott
Luke Wilson was a
local motorcyclist who died when a station wagon did a U-turn in front of
him on the Black Forest Drive, in the fog, crossing double white
lines. To assist in closure for his
family, and particularly his mother Maureen, MRAV has organised a memorial
tree planting at the Woodend Golf Club at 12 noon. We have agreed to organise the ride on
Luke's Birthday and will ride past the location of his demise on the way to
Woodend.
Volunteers from our
club to assist with corner marking on this public ride are needed: please
contact John Eacott (0428 383826) or Gary Fawcus (0439 425 516) if you are
willing to help.

Due to popular demand the British
Motorcycle Club of Tasmania is again conducting the
third Tassie Tour Vintage/Classic Motorcycle Rally
around Tasmania from the 17th - 28th March, 2013.
Open to all pre-1965 motorcycles, we will
enjoy 11 nights 12 days of some of the best motorcycle roads and scenery in
the country. For those that have
attended this fantastic rally there will be some new roads and things to
see plus some favourite roads from the past rallies. Numbers will be limited to 100
bikes. Details.
