The Macedon Ranges Ulysses
Group commenced life when current member Richard Prisgrove obtained a list of
Ulyssians who resided in and around Sunbury with the intention of forming a
‘splinter’ group who would gather for local rides. Richard (DickieP) made
contact with Brian Dixon, David Thomas, Terry Duggan and with Ray Lane
decided they should be able to get 20-40 riders together to form a group.
The first newsletter
was sent out on the 28th February
1999 inviting approximately 25 people to the first ride on the 14th March
1999. Splinters, as it was then known, continued to grow until the 22nd September
1999 when Richard advised Natcom that they would become a formal group within
the Ulysses network.
The first official
meeting of the Macedon Ranges Ulysses Group was on the 26th October
1999.
The first ‘committee’
